Jessica, Ethan, my mom and I traveled to Spencer, North Carolina on Friday to spend our day out with Thomas the train. What a LONG ride for something that truly showed happiness and excitement all over Ethan's face. Ethan also got the opportunity to meet Bob the Builder and Sir Tophman Hatt. He enjoyed taking his pictures with them and giving them hugs. Ethan was excited to ride Thomas for 25 minutes but quickly figured out that it was not the real Thomas. My mom was showing him that Thomas was coming down the railroad tracks backwards and he quickly responded, "That's NOT Thomas Nannie." When he saw Thomas at the front of the train, he said "Nannie, now THAT is Thomas!" He also told Thomas to stop the train because he was thirsty. Watching Ethan get excited about the littlest things was well worth the long ride!
